Dr. Godat’s 25 years of experience helping patients get to the correct size of their breasts has enabled him to use techniques to preserve your ability to breastfeed even after the breast reduction procedure.
Although breast reduction is an invasive procedure, Dr. Godat will prescribe you aftercare instructions to avoid scarring and forming keloids from the procedure area. You will also be scheduled for follow-up checkups to ensure that your healing stage goes smoothly to achieve the best results.
You will notice results immediately upon completion of the procedure. However, it may take three to six months for the swelling to subside, which means size will still decrease after your breasts have naturally adapted their new size and contour.
Breast reduction is permanent. Many factors can affect your breast sizes, such as hormonal changes, weight gain, aging, diet, and gravity.
This is why we conduct thorough examinations to ensure that we achieve long-lasting results. Be sure to consult with Dr. Godat on how best you could maintain the results of your breast reduction surgery.
