A rhinoplasty or nasal reshaping is the removal of a large hump or the refining of a boxy tip to improve overall look of the nose. Problems with nasal airway obstruction can also be addressed. These are often covered by insurance. Dr. Godat will perform a thorough evaluation and take the time to discuss your options.
Why consider a Rhinoplasty?
- Difficulty breathing
- Unhappy with size or shape of your nose
Recovery & Results
Many patients can return to daily activities and work in 3-4 days following surgery. Most bruising and swelling subsides by the end of the first week. Exercise and other strenuous activities may be resumed in two weeks. You can expect to wear a splint for two weeks after surgery. Small changes in the nose structure can make a large change in the appearance of the nose which you will notice two weeks after surgery.
If you have questions or concerns about a rhinoplasty, schedule a one-on-one consultation with David M. Godat, MD, to learn more. Request an appointment online or give us a call to schedule.
